MVS Radio Personality: 1 of 3 This is the primary data entry screen for defining a personality. A MVS personality consists of one or more modes ( 16 channels per mode ). Each channel is associated with a set of options. These options consist of a signaling scheme, channel guard specification and STE. The steps involved in defining a mode are: 1. Transmit and receive frequency definition. 2. Channel guard definition. 2 of 3 3. Squelch tail elimination enable or disable. 4. Carrier control timer enable or disable. To save the personality to disk, press Back ( F10 ). A prompt is displayed soliciting the filename for the personality. The other options available from this screen are: F4 - Select this option if you want to: Enter textual information pertaining to the personality. 3 of 3 F6 - Select this option if you want to: Activate the Type 99 window. F7 - Select this option if you want to: Enter option data common to all channels.
